Es el primer día sin Maestra, Señor, Rob y Sydney y con las familias anfitrionas. Por la mañana nos despertamos cerca de las 9h00 y el día empezó. Para desayunar comí el pan tostado con mantequilla y bebí chocolate caliente J Maestra!!! Después nos preparamos para ir a caminar por la ciudad. Hablé con mi hermana anfitriona y así empezamos a conocernos mejor. Caminamos por las calles en Santa Cristina y fue todo mas tranquilo de lo que yo pensaba. Frecuentemente nos encontramos con personas que conocían a mi anfitrión porque la ciudad es pequeña y todos se conocen bien. Caminamos por la playa y fue muy relajante y casi ningunas personas estaban allí. Después regresamos a casa y yo traje algunos pequeños regalos desde los EE.UU y uno de los regalos fue caramelos entonces todos los probamos.
This would be the first day without Maestra, Señor, Rob, and Sydney and with our host families. In the morning we woke up around 9:00am and the day began. For breakfast, I ate toast with butter and hot chocolate. After we got ready we went for a walk around the city. We talked a lot and just got to know each other. We walked the streets of Santa Cristina and I thought everything was very calm. When we would walk by people they would know each other and my host sister said that since the town was so small everyone knew each other. We walked down to the pier and walked on the beach and it was very relaxing and there was no one there and when we were done we walked home. I brought some small gifts for them and some of those were sweets that I like from the U.S. so they tried them.
Su madre regresó del supermercado con su abuela también y yo conocía a casi toda la familia. A ella le gusta sacar fotos y por eso su madre nos dice que podíamos ir a los muiños del río mayor de regato purtiño que esta a 5 minutos de su casa y así empezó otra aventura. Los muiños se usaban como un sistema de coger agua del río mayor y purificarla para usarla para la ciudad. Era un lugar muy bonito para hacer muchas fotos pero muy difícil llegar allí.
Her mom came back from the supermarket with her grandma and so i met her grandma and now I almost know the whole family. She really likes to take pictures so her mom suggested that we go to Los muiños de rio maior de regato purtiño about 5 minutes away from her house and so started another adventure. Las muiños were used to collect and purify water from the river to use for the city. It was very pretty but very hard to get there and we took a lot of photos.
Después regresamos a su casa para comer el almuerzo. Para el almuerzo comimos pescado y fue la primera vez que como el pescado con todo el pez. Después caminamos a un campo de fútbol donde estaban muchos chicos del intercambio. Conocí a muchas personas muy simpáticas del intercambio y también de las personas que asisten a la escuela del intercambio. Hiciéramos eso antes de caminar en Pontevedra para un poquito. Me gusta mucho que todos el su ciudad se conocen y tienen una relación personal. También se puede caminar a casi todos los lugares, esto no se puede hacer en los Estados Unidos.
After we went back home to eat lunch. for lunch we ate fish and it was the first time that I ate fish that had the whole fish when you had to eat it. After we ate we went to a soccer field where there were many of the kids that were on the immersion. We met a lot of people that were very nice and not all of them are going on the immersion some of them just went to the school. We did this after we walked around Pontevedra a little bit. My favorite thing about the city is that everybody knows everybody and they all seem to have a friendly relationship and you can also walk all most anywhere which you can not due in the USA.
Luego fuimos a un partido de Pontevedra muy importante. Es importante porque España tiene 3 ligas de fútbol, la liga es la primera y la mas buena y tiene mucho competencia y la segundo es peor que la primera y la tercer es la peor de todas. Pontevedra esta en la tercera liga y la tercer liga se terminó entonces todos los equipos de la tercer liga están en un torneo para ver si pueden avanzar y jugar en la segunda liga. Pontevedra ganó y fue un partido muy intenso. Mi parte favorita del partido fue cuando los fanáticos rompieron la barrera que separa los fanáticos del campo y se cayeron cerca de la portería y después la ambulancia vino porque las personas se lastimaron. Eso me parece muy cómico.
Afterward that we went to a soccer game. Pontevedra was playing and it was a very intense match. In Spain there are three leagues the first being La Liga which is the best league and the most competitive, and you have the second league which is worse than the first league and then you have the third league which is where Pontevedra. The third is ending so all of the teams in the third league are put into a tournament to see if they can advance to the second league and this was one of those tournament games. Pontevedra won so they are going on in the tournament. my favorite part of the game was one the fans of Pontevedra broke the barrier in between then and the field and fell on the goal after Pontevedra scored. After this, the ambulance came because people got hurt in this accident. I thought it was pretty comical.
Después del partido fuimos a Pontevedra para la cena y fue muy bonito y tranquillo pero estaba lloviendo y hacía mucho frío. Es una ciudad muy diferente a Nueva York pero me gusta. Cenamos pizza que no es muy tradicional pero era buena. Después encontramos a la madre de un chico que hizo el intercambio 3 veces porque le gustó tanto. Fue un día muy bueno y divertido y también me gusta vivir con mi familia anfitriona.
After the game we went to Pontevedra to eat dinner and it's very pretty and very relaxing. Even though it was raining and it was very cold it was a lot nicer than New York and a lot more clean. For dinner we ate pizza which is not very traditional but it was very good. After dinner we ran into a woman whose son went on the immersion three times because he liked it so much. It was a really exciting day and I really like living with my host family.
